About the Role:
Our client, a global leader in intelligent data infrastructure and cloud-led storage solutions, is seeking a Part-Time IT Support Technician to support their Canberra-based team. This is a long-term contract role initially 12 months with likely extension of up to 2 years (ongoing requirement with extension options), located at our client’s Canberra office with in-person attendance required initially and potential for limited work-from-home flexibility (e.g. 1 day per week) once established.
As the selected candidate, you will:
• Provide in-person and remote IT support to end users in Canberra and interstate
• Troubleshoot desktop hardware and software issues across MacOS and Windows 11
• Support Microsoft O365, Zoom, and other business applications
• Act as a point of contact for IT-related queries and incidents via the global helpdesk
• Image, configure, and deploy Mac laptops and some Windows devices
• Work on assigned incidents and service requests
• Assist with IT inductions for new starters
• Maintain asset registers and track IT equipment
• Support procurement activities including vendor engagement, quotes, and ordering
• Participate in occasional IT projects
• Build strong relationships with end users with a strong focus on customer service
• Provide guidance on IT best practices and security policies
To be successful in this role you should have:
• Previous experience in IT Support / Helpdesk / Desktop Support roles
• Hands-on experience supporting MacOS and Windows environments
• Experience with Microsoft 365 and common business applications
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities
• A proactive, self-starter attitude
It is desirable if you have:
• Experience in device imaging and deployment
• Experience supporting hybrid or enterprise environments
• Familiarity with asset management and procurement processes
• Previous experience working in large enterprise environments
• Exposure to ITIL processes or ticketing systems
Eligibility Requirements:
• Open to Australian Citizens, Permanent Residents, and visa holders with full working rights
• No security clearance required for this role
