About the Role:
Our Federal Government Client is seeking a Senior ICT Project Manager (Cloud Development Environment / DevOps Platform).
This is a long-term contract role until 30 June 2027
with 1 x 6-month extension option, located at our client’s ACT location with hybrid working arrangements.
As the selected candidate, you will:
• Lead the delivery and rollout of a secure, scalable Cloud Development Environment
• Translate cloud architecture, security, and development requirements into structured delivery plans
• Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and performance in a multi-supplier environment
• Plan and oversee project scope, schedule, budget, risks, and resources
• Drive project governance, reporting, and compliance with ICT standards
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and cybersecurity teams to ensure alignment
• Support agile/iterative delivery practices and continuous improvement
• Lead multidisciplinary teams and mentor junior staff
To be successful in this role you should have:
• Demonstrated experience in ICT project/program management, including agile methodologies
• Proven ability to provide strategic advice to senior stakeholders and lead complex projects
• Strong experience planning and delivering ICT change initiatives aligned to organisational strategy
• Ability to translate technical concepts (cloud, DevOps, security) into actionable project plans
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Experience mentoring and supporting junior team members
• Relevant qualifications or demonstrated experience in project/program/portfolio management
It is desirable if you have:
• Experience delivering cloud platforms, DevOps environments, or infrastructure projects
• Familiarity with cloud technologies (e.g. AWS, Azure) and CI/CD practices
• Strong vendor and contract management experience
• Experience working within Australian Government ICT frameworks and governance
Due to security clearance requirements for this role, candidates must be Australian citizens
with Baseline security clearance (or the ability to obtain one).
