About the Role
As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for analysing, designing, developing, testing, implementing, and supporting technology solutions within an Agile delivery environment. You will play a key role in both project delivery and business-as-usual enhancements, ensuring applications remain scalable, reliable, and aligned with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test and deliver high-quality software enhancements and new capabilities.
- Conduct technical analysis and contribute to solution design activities.
- Perform root cause analysis and resolve application issues.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and ongoing application maintenance.
- Participate in discovery workshops, sprint ceremonies and daily stand-ups.
- Adhere to engineering standards, team practices and quality frameworks.
- Monitor application health, proactively manage alerts and support production environments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver business outcomes.
You are a collaborative and results-oriented engineer with strong technical capabilities and a passion for delivering quality software solutions.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
- Up to 10 years of software development experience across design, development, testing, deployment and support.
- Strong programming experience in Java, Kotlin, JavaScript and Python.
- Solid understanding of object-oriented design principles and full-stack development practices.
- Experience with modern web technologies, single-page applications and UI/UX fundamentals.
- Exposure to Agile delivery, automated testing, Continuous Delivery and DevOps practices.
- Experience working with databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cassandra, Elasticsearch and VectorPG.
- Knowledge of messaging technologies, development frameworks and Unix/Linux environments.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- A strong focus on quality, scalability and continuous improvement.
- The ability to work effectively in collaborative Agile teams.
- A proactive mindset with a passion for learning and innovation.
