Looking for the opportunity to build something from scratch?
We are partnering with a purpose-driven organisation (world-class research across healthcare, agriculture, environmental science and industry) seeking a Senior Systems Developer to help design and build a brand-new Information Management System. This is a genuine greenfield opportunity where you'll have a high level of ownership and influence over the solution.
Working closely with an experienced and highly supportive Systems Development Manager, you will play a key role in shaping a new platform from the ground up, contributing across requirements gathering, solution design, development, testing and deployment
What you'll bring
- Strong Python and Django development experience
- Experience building enterprise applications
- Linux/Unix administration and scripting skills
- Solid SQL and database experience
- Git/GitHub experience
- Experience with AI tools such as Copilot or Claude
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Exposure to CI/CD and modern development practices
- React.js, JavaScript, HTML and CSS
- Cloud and containerisation experience
- DevOps exposure
- R or Perl experience
