About the Opportunity
One of our client is seeking an experienced Senior Spatial Developer to join a team delivering enterprise geospatial solutions that support critical business and operational functions.
This role offers the opportunity to work on the design, development, integration, and ongoing enhancement of spatial applications and platforms across web, desktop, and cloud environments. You will collaborate with technical teams, GIS specialists, and business stakeholders to develop scalable and secure solutions that leverage modern software development practices and enterprise GIS technologies.

The Role

As the Senior Spatial Developer, you will play a key role in building and supporting enterprise-grade geospatial systems and applications. You will work across the full software development lifecycle, delivering innovative spatial solutions while ensuring high standards of performance, reliability, and security.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, test and support enterprise applications using C# and modern .NET technologies.
  • Deliver and support enterprise GIS capabilities using ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online, VertiGIS (Geocortex) and FME.
  • Build and maintain full-stack web applications using frameworks such as React or Angular.
  • Develop ArcGIS Pro Add-ins and desktop GIS applications.
  • Integrate geospatial data and mapping services into broader business systems.
  • Design and implement data transformation, integration and automation workflows.
  • Optimise spatial databases and geospatial queries within Microsoft SQL Server environments.
  • Deploy and maintain applications within Microsoft Azure.
Key Experience
  • Extensive experience developing enterprise GIS solutions using ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Online.
  • Strong hands-on experience with VertiGIS (Geocortex) and FME.
  • Advanced development experience with C#, .NET Framework, .NET Core and modern .NET technologies.
  • Experience consuming and developing ArcGIS REST services and APIs.
  • Strong understanding of spatial data management, web mapping technologies, and geospatial data models.
  • Experience building ArcGIS Pro Add-ins and desktop GIS solutions.
  • Experience developing modern web applications using React, Angular, or similar frameworks.
  • Experience delivering solutions in Microsoft Azure environments.
Desirable Experience
  • Experience within government, mining, resources, utilities or infrastructure sectors.
  • Exposure to Azure cloud-native technologies and application modernisation initiatives.
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
  • Python and PowerShell scripting experience.
  • ArcGIS, Azure, or related industry certifications.
