This is a senior technical leadership role where you'll help define our AI strategy, influence how AI is adopted across the organisation, and lead the development of scalable AI products, platforms and capabilities. You'll work at the intersection of technology, product, customer experience and business transformation, taking AI initiatives from idea through to production.
Depending on your background and interests, you may bring a stronger focus on either AI Product Engineering or AI Platform Engineering.
As a product-focused leader, you'll:
- Design and build AI-powered products, features and customer experiences.
- Partner closely with Product Managers, customers and business stakeholders to identify high-value AI opportunities.
- Lead AI use cases from discovery, experimentation and validation through to production deployment.
- Translate business challenges into practical AI solutions.
- Deliver measurable customer and commercial outcomes through the application of GenAI and Agentic AI.
- Drive AI product innovation while maintaining strong engineering standards.
- Build and evolve enterprise AI platform capabilities.
- Design scalable infrastructure to support AI development, deployment and operations.
- Establish AI governance, observability, monitoring and operational best practices.
- Create reusable AI frameworks, tooling and engineering standards.
- Support teams in moving AI solutions from proof-of-concept into production.
- Enable broader AI adoption through robust platforms, automation and self-service capabilities.
- Extensive software engineering experience with strong engineering fundamentals.
- Demonstrated success delivering solutions from concept through to production.
- Hands-on experience with Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs) and Agentic AI systems.
- A proven track record building AI-enabled products, platforms or solutions in production environments.
- Strong understanding of modern software architecture, cloud-native development and scalable systems design.
- Experience evaluating AI opportunities and translating them into business value.
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Ability to influence across Product, Engineering, Customer and Business teams.
- Comfortable operating in ambiguity and driving innovation in emerging technology spaces.
- Proven ability to deliver tangible business outcomes through AI initiatives.
- Experience building AI agents, copilots, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) solutions or AI-powered workflows.
- Expertise across modern cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or Google Cloud.
- Experience establishing AI governance, responsible AI and operational frameworks.
- Technical leadership experience mentoring engineers and influencing strategic direction.
- Experience scaling AI capabilities across large or complex organisations.
