About the Role:
This role is for a senior consultant to support the SD-WAN Migration Initiative. The consultants will work as an extension of the customers SD-WAN Engineering team, providing implementation support for configuration changes on legacy customer LAN core switches that are being integrated with the new SD-WAN edge infrastructure. The role will augment existing delivery capacity by executing approved implementation, migration, and validation activities in accordance with the customer engineering standards, designs, and change management processes.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Support implementation activities for configuration changes on legacy LAN core switches, aligning with SD-WAN edge infrastructure.
  • Review discovery data and analyse gaps or missing information necessary for successful deployment.
  • Implement network configurations such as VRFs, VLANs, SVIs, trunk configurations, and security policies.
  • Assist in migrating routing configurations, including BGP processes and peering relationships, ensuring network stability.
  • Validate routing functionality, network reachability, and establishment of BGP adjacencies.
  • Coordinate with the engineering team to execute approved migration, validation, and delivery activities in accordance with standard procedures.
Skills and Experience:
  • Experience in planning, designing, and implementing complex enterprise networks.
  • Extensive knowledge of internetworking technologies, including SD-WAN, MPLS, IP routing, BGP, and VLANs.
  • Proven ability to manage large-scale network transformation projects in global environments.
  • Industry certifications such as CCIE or proven equivalent experience (CCNP or similar).
  • Strong leadership, documentation, and presentation skills with a history of producing quality deliverables.
