We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join a growing data and analytics team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data solutions that support business intelligence, operational reporting, and strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines to support enterprise reporting and analytics requirements.
- Build and optimise Microsoft Fabric data solutions, including data pipelines, orchestration workflows, and Lakehouse architectures.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into robust, data-driven solutions.
- Support production data platforms through monitoring, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop and maintain integrated datasets by leveraging API integrations, cloud services, and modern data engineering best practices.
- Strong expertise in SQL, including data modelling, query optimisation, ETL/ELT development, and relational database design.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, cloud data platforms, data migration projects, and data orchestration frameworks.
- Proficiency in Python, PowerShell, or similar scripting languages for automation and platform management.
- Dimensional modelling, data warehousing, star schema design, and trusted dataset development.
- Production support, platform maintenance, monitoring, and troubleshooting within enterprise data environments.
- Experience developing real-time or near real-time data solutions.
- Knowledge of cloud-first architectures and data platform modernisation strategies.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and requirements gathering capabilities.
