About the Role
As a Senior AI Behaviour Developer, you will play a key role in the design, development, integration, and verification of autonomous agent behaviours within sophisticated modelling and simulation environments.
Working alongside software engineers, autonomy specialists, systems engineers, and researchers, you will develop robust and explainable AI-driven behaviours that support autonomous mission execution and complex operational scenarios.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop autonomous agent behaviours using Behaviour Trees, State Machines, BDI architectures, and similar decision-making frameworks.
- Develop, test, and optimise AI-driven behaviours within simulation and modelling environments.
- Create explainable and verifiable autonomous reasoning models.
- Integrate autonomous capabilities with mission planning, telemetry, sensor, and task management systems.
- Support multi-platform mission execution and coordination capabilities.
- Contribute to the development of autonomous Electronic Warfare (EW) behaviours and decision-making functions.
- Conduct software verification, validation, and quality assurance activities.
- Produce technical documentation, reports, and supporting artefacts.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering and research teams.
- Support demonstrations, testing activities, technical reviews, and stakeholder engagements.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Experience developing autonomous behaviours and intelligent agent systems.
- Strong software development experience using Python, C++, or similar languages.
- Hands-on experience with:

- State Machines
- BDI Architectures
- Autonomous decision-making frameworks
- Experience designing, developing, and validating intelligent autonomous behaviours.
- Strong analytical, systems thinking, and problem-solving skills.
