Work Type: Full‑time contract, 5 days on site (no WFH flexibility)

This role opportunity exists for an experienced Senior Information Security Systems Engineer to join a secure, enterprise environment supporting critical infrastructure. This is a hands‑on technical role focused on the deployment, operation and support of network and security systems within a regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Security Engineering support to deploy and maintain network security products and services
- Support Network Operations and Engineering teams with testing and evaluation of security technologies
- Perform lifecycle testing and operational support of security architectures
- Manage enterprise access controls, configuration baselines and compliance requirements
- Configure and maintain VPN technologies
- Conduct vulnerability scanning, analysis and remediation activities
- Support and administer security tools including Splunk, Rapid7, Nessus, Tanium, CyberArk, Imprivata, SentinelOne, Airlock Digital and related technologies
- Develop and maintain technical security documentation
- Master's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, IT Systems or related field with a minimum of 4 years' relevant experience
- 5 to 7 years' experience in Network Security Engineering including specification, evaluation, testing, deployment and operation of security technologies such as Firewalls, Routers, Switches, IDS, WAF and VPN solutions
- Minimum 2 years' experience leading technical teams, monitoring performance, conducting reviews and participating in recruitment activities
- Experience with ASD Essential Eight, NIST and other security frameworks
- Experience analysing security logs and event data
- Experience managing enterprise configuration baselines
- Security+, Network+, CCNA and/or CISSP certifications
