About the Roles:
Our Federal Government client is seeking multiple Principal SAP Technical Leads & Specialists to support a major Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) transformation, migrating from SAP ECC6 to SAP S/4HANA. We're recruiting across several specialist streams, offering opportunities for experienced SAP professionals with expertise in development, integration, migration, platform engineering, and user experience.
Each role has an initial 12-month contract with extension options up to a maximum of 24 months, based in Canberra, Melbourne or Brisbane. The roles offer hybrid working arrangements, with successful candidates expected to work onsite for the first six weeks before a hybrid arrangement may be considered, subject to business requirements.
Current Opportunities:
We're recruiting experienced SAP professionals across several specialist streams to support a major SAP ECC6 to SAP S/4HANA transformation:
- SAP HANA Technical Specialist
- Lead the optimisation of SAP HANA solutions, including HANA data structures, in-memory processing, query optimisation, code pushdown (AMDP/CDS Views), HANA administration, and custom code remediation for SAP S/4HANA.
- ABAP Developer for SAP S/4HANA
- Refactor legacy ECC custom code for SAP S/4HANA, develop modern ABAP solutions using CDS Views, AMDP classes and OData services, and deliver SAP Fiori backend and SAP Gateway development.
- Integration Specialist
- Design and implement integrations across SAP and enterprise applications using SAP CPI, SAP BTP Integration Suite, OData and REST APIs, SuccessFactors connectors, IDocs, RFCs, and third-party systems.
- Data Migration Specialist
- Lead data migration activities from SAP ECC6 to SAP S/4HANA, including data extraction, transformation and loading (ETL), SAP Migration Cockpit (LTMC/LTMOM), data cleansing, reconciliation, validation, and migration planning.
- SAP Fiori & User Experience Specialist
- Develop and enhance modern SAP user experiences through SAP Fiori and SAPUI5, including Fiori apps, Launchpad configuration, catalogues, tiles, roles, annotations, and UI enhancements.
- SAP HANA & Basis Specialist
- Provide technical leadership across SAP platform administration, including SAP S/4HANA architecture, system conversion (SUM/DMO), transport management, security roles and authorisations, HANA sizing, performance tuning, and migration activities.
As the selected candidate, you will:
- Provide technical leadership across a large-scale SAP S/4HANA ERP migration program.
- Lead the planning, design, development and implementation of enterprise SAP solutions.
- Drive software development activities and ensure delivery of high-quality, secure and scalable solutions.
- Lead the resolution of complex technical issues across development and production environments.
- Define and promote software engineering standards, development methodologies and best practices.
- Collaborate with architects, technical teams, business stakeholders and vendors to deliver strategic outcomes.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to development teams throughout the project lifecycle.
To be successful in this role you should have:
- Demonstrated experience leading large and complex SAP software development or ERP transformation programs.
- Strong experience delivering SAP S/4HANA migration or modernisation projects.
- Experience with SAP Activate methodology.
- Proven ability to establish and drive software engineering standards, development methodologies and system design practices.
- Extensive experience providing technical leadership across software development, systems integration and enterprise solution delivery.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and consultancy skills with the ability to influence technical and business outcomes.
- Experience leading software construction, refactoring and systems integration activities.
- Ability to manage complex technical issues while ensuring quality, security and delivery outcomes.
- Excellent communication, leadership and mentoring skills.
- Ability to work autonomously while contributing to strategic organisational objectives.
It is desirable if you have:
- Experience analysing and improving business processes within SAP environments.
- Experience implementing process improvements and automation initiatives.
- Knowledge of business process modelling and optimisation techniques.
- Experience supporting organisational change through technology transformation programs.
