MES Engineer (Mid-Senior) – Large Scale Organisation
Permanent Fulltime Opportunity
Sydney based with hybrid work flexibility (2-3 days onsite and 2 days WFH)
We are seeking a skilled MES Engineer (Mid-Senior) to join a high-performing team delivering innovative Manufacturing Execution System (MES) solutions across complex manufacturing environments. In this role, you will work closely with stakeholders and operational teams to design, implement, integrate, and optimise MES platforms that enhance production efficiency, operational visibility, and overall manufacturing performance.
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver and support Manufacturing Execution System (MES) implementation, enhancement, testing, deployment, and production rollout activities across manufacturing environments.
• Analyse manufacturing operations and business requirements to design, configure, customise, and optimise MES solutions that improve efficiency and performance.
• Gather and document business, functional, and technical requirements while collaborating with stakeholders, project teams, and operational users throughout the project lifecycle.
• Integrate MES platforms with enterprise and operational systems, troubleshoot technical issues, and provide ongoing support during implementation and post-go-live phases.
• Contribute to solution design, system documentation, continuous improvement initiatives, project delivery activities, and provide technical guidance and mentoring where required.
Key Requirements
• 3–5+ years of hands-on experience as an MES Engineer, delivering, implementing, and supporting Manufacturing Execution System (MES) solutions within manufacturing environments.
• Strong experience implementing, configuring, customising, integrating, and maintaining MES platforms, with a solid understanding of manufacturing systems architecture and integration principles.
• Sound knowledge of discrete manufacturing processes, shop floor operations, quality management systems, material traceability, and product genealogy.
• Proven ability to support work order management, production scheduling, and troubleshoot complex manufacturing system issues using strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with demonstrated experience gathering business and technical requirements and working effectively both independently and within project teams.
