About the Role: Our Federal Government Client is seeking an EL2 Platform Solution Architect.
This is a long-term contract role with an initial 12-month contract and extension option, located in ACT.
As the selected candidate, you will:
- Lead the architecture, design and implementation of complex platform solutions across cloud, integration, data and enterprise technology domains.
- Deliver secure, scalable and business-aligned solutions aligned with architecture, technology and cyber security requirements.
- Develop architecture artefacts, technical designs, standards, reference implementations, platform guardrails and reusable engineering patterns.
- Collaborate with business, architecture, security and engineering stakeholders to define requirements and deliver practical technical solutions.
- Provide technical leadership across cloud platforms, integrations, identity and access management, security, governance and platform engineering practices.
- Drive adoption of Infrastructure as Code, automation, DevOps and secure software delivery capabilities.
- Provide technical oversight for complex architectural, operational and delivery issues while managing risks, dependencies and technical debt.
- Lead technical workshops, design reviews, governance activities and stakeholder engagement forums.
- Produce and maintain high-quality technical documentation and provide technical direction throughout the solution lifecycle.
- Build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships and represent the agency in relevant forums as required.
- Demonstrated 7+ years' architecture or senior engineering experience, including 5+ years as a Solution Architect, delivering complex enterprise-grade cloud, platform and integration solutions.
- Strong hands-on expertise with Microsoft Azure and AWS, including Azure Landing Zones, networking, identity and access management, security services, monitoring, multi-cloud integration and cloud governance.
- Experience leading architecture for large-scale enterprise platforms, CRM and integration solutions, including Salesforce, MuleSoft and API-led integration patterns.
- Proven expertise in Infrastructure as Code, DevSecOps and automation practices, including Terraform, ARM/Bicep, CI/CD pipelines and secure software delivery.
- Experience designing and implementing internal developer platforms, reusable engineering patterns, self-service capabilities, Kubernetes, container platforms and cloud-native services.
- Excellent communication, documentation and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to facilitate technical governance and resolve complex design and implementation challenges.
- Bachelor of Science, Business Information Technology or equivalent tertiary qualification.
- Industry experience across health, insurance or similarly complex customer-focused environments.
- TOGAF certification or equivalent architecture qualification, with Azure and/or AWS certifications.
- Previous experience as an Enterprise Architect or Program Lead Architect.
- Experience working within Agile and traditional structured delivery environments.
