About the Role
Our Federal Government Client is seeking a Lead Domain Architect.
This is a long-term contract role with 12 months contract duration with extension options available, located at our client's Canberra office.
As the selected candidate, you will:
- Develop, maintain and communicate the architecture, target state and strategic roadmap for the integration domain.
- Provide authoritative architectural advice and technical leadership across programs, projects and initiatives.
- Ensure solution architectures and technology investments align with enterprise architecture, security requirements and organisational priorities.
- Lead architectural analysis of complex business and technology challenges and provide strategic recommendations.
- Establish and maintain architecture principles, patterns, standards and governance frameworks.
- Review and assure solution designs, identifying dependencies, risks, gaps and opportunities for reuse.
- Collaborate closely with enterprise architects, security architects, engineering leaders, business stakeholders and delivery teams.
- Influence investment and prioritisation decisions through strategic architectural guidance.
- Represent the domain in architecture and governance forums.
- Monitor emerging technologies and assess their impact on the domain.
- Lead resolution of significant architectural issues and complex trade-off decisions.
- Mentor architects and technical specialists to build organisational capability.
- Minimum 8+ years' experience designing and delivering complex enterprise integration solutions.
- At least 3 years' experience operating in an EL2, Principal Architect or equivalent senior architectural leadership capacity.
- Demonstrated ability to translate organisational strategy, business requirements and complex technology considerations into strategic domain architecture.
- Extensive experience establishing and applying architecture principles, patterns, standards and governance across multiple programs and initiatives.
- Proven ability to analyse complex architectural issues, dependencies and trade-offs and provide evidence-based recommendations to senior stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of enterprise integration, cloud, data, security and digital platform ecosystems and their interdependencies.
- Exceptional stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills, with experience engaging executives, architects, technical specialists and delivery teams.
- Australian Citizenship is mandatory.
- Experience as a Domain Architect, Enterprise Architect or similar senior architecture role in the Australian Government or another large, complex organisation.
- TOGAF certification or equivalent enterprise architecture certification.
- Advanced cloud architecture certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional or Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
- Extensive experience delivering major cloud transformation programs within Australian Federal or State Government agencies.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in enterprise architecture, information systems, technology or a related discipline.
