Our client is seeking three Junior Test Analysts to join a dynamic team on an initial 9-month contract, with potential extensions up to a total of 24 months. This hybrid role offers flexibility, with work locations in Queensland, ACT, Victoria, New South Wales, or South Australia. Ideally, the successful candidate will work from our client’s Canberra or other office locations at least two days per week. 

As the selected candidate, you will:

  • Assist in testing core business processing systems by sourcing and analysing design documents, preparing test scripts, and executing manual tests.
  • Collaborate with Business Analysts, System Analysts, and subject matter experts to clarify system behaviour and support user acceptance testing.
  • Document test plans, cases, and results in accordance with testing strategies and standards.
  • Identify, report, and troubleshoot defects, supporting defect investigations and retesting activities.
  • Gather data requirements, create test data, and maintain testing documentation to support quality assurance.
  • Work within an agile environment, using test management tools to track progress and escalate issues when necessary.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives by providing feedback on testing processes and practices.
  • Support knowledge transfer activities to ensure that skills and documentation are effectively handed over to the client.
To be successful in this role you should have:

  • Demonstrated experience (3-5 years) in manual testing, with a strong understanding of testing principles and practices.
  • Experience analysing business requirements, user stories, and design documentation to develop effective test cases and scripts.
  • Capability to execute manual tests, identify, and document defects, and support troubleshooting and retesting.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders across various teams.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and deliver quality results within deadlines.
  • Exposure or experience working with technologies such as .Net, Seibel, or Salesforce applications is advantageous.
It is desirable if you have:

  • A degree in Information Technology.
  • Current ISTQB Foundation Test Analyst certification.
  • Understanding of SDLC, defect management, and agile project methodologies.
  • Knowledge of test design techniques and the use of testing tools to support project delivery.
  • Accessibility testing experience is a plus.
Due to security clearance requirements for this role, candidates must be Australian Citizen with Baseline clearance
