As the selected candidate, you will:

- Provide technical guidance, mentoring and support to other Support Engineers.
- Triage, classify and resolve incidents and service requests within agreed service levels.
- Take an active role in Incident, Problem and Change Management.
- Own and administer the endpoint management environment, including NinjaOne policies, monitoring, alerting, patching and automation.
- Manage and support Microsoft Intune, Windows Autopilot and Entra ID environments.
- Lead the migration of remaining SCCM-managed devices to Windows Autopilot and Entra ID.
- Monitor endpoint health, compliance and security posture and drive remediation of non-compliant devices.
- Identify opportunities to automate and improve support processes, tools and procedures.
- Manage desktop asset and software lifecycle activities, including fleet refresh and end-of-life planning.
- Maintain ICT documentation, standards and knowledge base content.
- Liaise with vendors and contribute to vendor management activities.
- Participate in after-hours and weekend support as rostered, as well as occasional interstate travel.
To be successful in this role you should have:
- Demonstrated experience in an IT Support, Service Desk, Desktop Support or Endpoint environment, with strong Level 2 technical capability.
- Previous experience leading, mentoring or coordinating a technical support team.
- Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users.
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft 365.
- Experience with Microsoft Intune, Entra ID and/or Windows Autopilot.
- Experience supporting a hybrid Active Directory and cloud identity environment.
- Experience with endpoint management, patching, software deployment and device compliance.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to act as a technical escalation point.

- ITIL certification and/or practical experience working within IT service management frameworks.
It is desirable if you have:
- Experience with NinjaOne RMM for endpoint management, patching and software deployment.
- Experience with Microsoft Purview and broader compliance or data governance tooling.
- Experience with Ivanti ITSM or a comparable IT service management platform.
- Experience supporting Microsoft Teams Rooms and meeting-room audiovisual/video conferencing systems.
- Exposure to ICT product lifecycle management.
- Experience working within a government or highly regulated environment.
This role suits someone who enjoys solving problems hands-on, works well as part of a close team, and takes ownership of the end-to-end user experience.
We're looking for someone to lead the desktop/endpoint domain specifically, following some changes within the team. Soft skills matter as much as technical ability in this role . We are looking for a genuine team player. You don't need to know everything on day one – a willingness to learn, take ownership and contribute to the team is highly valued.
Due to security clearance requirements for this role, candidates must be Australian citizens.
