About the role:
A large, highly regulated organisation is undertaking a significant digital transformation program and is seeking an experienced Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) Platform Architect to help shape and assure platform architecture at enterprise scale.
Working within a program architecture capability, you’ll act as the architectural bridge between strategy, product delivery teams, enterprise architecture, and platform engineering—supporting roadmap development, transition planning, dependency management, architecture assurance, and progressive delivery of the target-state architecture.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain platform architecture aligned to enterprise standards and design principles
- Define and enforce design standards/patterns and platform best practices
- Ensure the platform meets performance, scalability, security, reliability requirements
- Identify/manage platform risks and technical debt including maintaining architecture/asset metadata
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to platform and delivery teams
- Support integration and reuse of platform services across multiple products/initiatives
- Contribute to architecture governance(reviews, assurance, alignment)
- Define transition strategies and migration pathways including legacy reduction/retirement)
- Support skills/knowledge transfer to internal teams across the contract term
- Extensive enterprise experience architecting solutions on Microsoft D365 and the Power Platform
- Experience delivering large-scale transformation and transitioning from legacy to Azure
- Strong understanding of data governance, compliance, and security in regulated environment
- Azure data suite including but limited too – Azure Storage, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure
- SQL, Azure Data Factory, Azure Logic app, Azure APIM, Azure Entra ID
- Microsoft Azure architecture
- Cloud networking and security
- Certifications such as TOGAF 9, COBIT 5 Foundation, SAFe, Scrum, ITIL v3 is an advantage
- Demonstrated experience designing complex ICT solutions in large federated environments
