About the Role:
This role partners with Security Architects, DevOps, and IT teams to deliver secure, automated identity and infrastructure solutions that align with cloud security and secure development standards. It also supports broader security engineering initiatives, including threat detection, incident response, monitoring, observability, data protection, and encryption. The position combines infrastructure, cybersecurity, and DevSecOps expertise to strengthen security capabilities as the organisation increasingly manages technology environments through code.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines using multi-stage YAML for automated build, testing, configuration, and deployment.
- Provision and manage Azure infrastructure through Terraform and Bicep using Infrastructure as Code best practices.
- Monitor and remediate configuration drift while maintaining reusable IaC modules and pipeline templates.
- Securely manage identities, secrets, and access controls across Entra ID, M365, Azure Key Vault, and managed identities.
- Support compliance, security reporting, and continuous improvement aligned with SOCI, ASD Essential 8, NIST, and broader cybersecurity objectives.
Skills and Experience:
- Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, ARM) and DSC (Desired State Configuration) to provision and manage environments through code.
- Proven expertise building Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines using YAML, with robust source control and release management practices.
- Experience integrating GitHub Advanced Security tools, including secret scanning, dependency scanning, and SAST within the SDLC.
- Strong automation and scripting skills using PowerShell and Python, with expertise in Azure security, DevOps, and DevSecOps practices.
- Solid knowledge of Entra ID, Conditional Access, OAuth, SSO, MFA, Azure Key Vault, PKI, certificate management, ASD Essential 8, and NIST frameworks.
