Work Related Items Salary Sacrifice - Terms & Conditions 


Please read the terms and conditions carefully regarding your salary sacrifice arrangement. For the purposes of this document, ‘consultant’ refers to any individual who is employed or engaged by Peoplebank under PAYG arrangements, including employees and contractors.


  1. Only items that have been purchased and fully paid for prior to the salary sacrifice request are eligible under this arrangement.

  2. A valid tax invoice must be provided for the item at the time of the salary sacrifice request.

  3. Where the item being salary sacrificed is an exempt benefit, the consultant declares that the item purchased is predominately for work purposes and declares that this is the only claim of this item for the current Fringe Benefit Tax year (1 Apr - 31 Mar). Where the item being salary sacrificed is an otherwise tax-deductible item, the consultant declares that the item is being used for earning assessable income and had the item not been salary sacrificed by their employer the consultant would have been able to claim a 100% tax deduction.   4. Please note that external accessories of the device such as a keyboard, mouse, covers, external hard drives or warranty etc. will not form part of salary sacrifice due to ATO regulations. 

  5. If Peoplebank determines that a device does not reasonably qualify for salary packaging under this arrangement, notification will be provided to the consultant.

  6. If Peoplebank or the consultant becomes liable for any additional obligations as a result of the salary sacrifice arrangement, including, but not limited to, fringe benefits tax, the consultant will indemnify Peoplebank against any such obligation. 

  7. The consultant acknowledges, and accepts, that Peoplebank has no liability for the consultant’s taxation or any other outcomes resulting from entering into this arrangement.

  8. The arrangement will immediately terminate if any law of the State, Territory or Commonwealth is breached by its operation.

  9. Should the contract arrangement cease prior to the commencement of the salary sacrifice arrangement, the salary sacrifice agreement will be classified as null and void. 

  10. The consultant acknowledges that it is his, or her, responsibility to seek independent financial advice, before entering this arrangement.


Superannuation Salary Sacrifice - Terms and Conditions


Please read the terms and conditions carefully regarding your superannuation salary sacrifice arrangement. For the purposes of this document, ‘consultant’ refers to any individual who is employed or engaged by Peoplebank or Leaders IT under PAYG arrangements, including employees and contractors.

  1. Superannuation salary sacrifice is in addition to the mandatory superannuation guarantee of 12% and are subject to preservation as per ATO regulations.

  2. Superannuation (including salary sacrifice) is paid monthly, a month in arrears. 

  3. Unless otherwise specified in writing by either party, the superannuation salary sacrifice arrangement will continue under these terms and conditions. 

  4. Net wages may be less than represented in the employment contract. Where this occurs, the consultant accepts that the Peoplebank will have no liability in respect of that shortfall. 

  5. It is the consultant’s responsibility to monitor their superannuation fund balance and manage the concessional contributions cap. 

  6. The consultant acknowledges, and accepts, that Peoplebank has no liability for the consultant’s taxation or any other outcomes resulting from entering into this agreement.

  7. The arrangement will immediately terminate if any law of the State or Commonwealth is breached by its operation.

  8. If Peoplebank or the consultant becomes liable for any additional obligations as a result of making additional superannuation contributions, including, but not limited to, fringe benefits tax, the consultant will indemnify the Peoplebank against any such obligation. 

  9. Both Peoplebank and the consultant have the right to cease salary sacrifice for superannuation arrangements at any time by notice in writing to the other party. Such cessation cannot be applied retrospectively; it will be effective only from the first contribution after such notice has been received.
