Role Overview
The Workday Platform Lead will play a critical role in supporting a large-scale Workday implementation and owning the platform long term. You'll be joining early in the implementation phase of Workday, bringing strong platform leadership capability into the program, before transitioning into full ownership of the Workday platform post go‑live. The role sits within the Technology Platforms team (who look after 60+ platforms) and will act as the point of contact with the vendor and business owners for the platform (HR, Payroll and Finance)
Key Responsibilities
• Act as Workday Platform Owner, accountable for platform roadmap, backlog, and governance
• Represent the platform throughout the implementation program, partnering closely with the vendor, business owners, system integrator and internal SMEs
• Shape and define the BAU operating model for the Workday platform post‑implementation
• Own vendor management and ongoing platform optimisation
• Transition the platform into stable BAU support following go‑live.
Key Requirements
• Proven experience as a Platform Lead / Platform Owner
• Experience working on a Workday implementation
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and vendor management skills
• Ability to operate without a large established team and help shape future resourcing models
• Broad Workday knowledge preferred over deep expertise in a single module
