You’ll play a critical role in delivering robust, scalable integrations across the Workday platform and ensuring seamless connectivity with the broader enterprise landscape.
Working closely with Solution Architects, functional teams, and implementation partners, you’ll contribute to both delivery and ongoing optimisation of the Workday environment.
In this role you will:
- Design, build, and maintain Workday integrations using Workday Studio, EIBs, Core Connectors, and REST/SOAP APIs.
- Develop and support inbound and outbound integrations between Workday and enterprise systems (e.g. payroll, finance, identity, reporting platforms).
- Collaborate with functional leads to translate business and technical requirements into integration solutions.
- Partner closely with Solution Architects to ensure integrations align with enterprise architecture standards and integration strategy.
- Support identity and access integrations, including authentication and provisioning flows.
- Troubleshoot, optimise, and enhance existing Workday integrations to ensure reliability and performance.
- Contribute to testing activities, including unit testing, system integration testing, and post-go-live support.
- Review technical documentation and ensure integrations meet security, compliance, and data governance requirements.
- Provide technical input to implementation partners and internal delivery teams.
- Strong hands-on experience as a Workday Engineer or Workday Integration Engineer.
- Proven experience building integrations using Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, and APIs.
- Solid understanding of Workday business objects, calculated fields, and integration frameworks.
- Experience integrating Workday with payroll, finance, identity management, or downstream reporting systems.
- Knowledge of identity and access management concepts (SAML, OAuth, RBAC).
- Experience with user provisioning and deprovisioning workflows (e.g. SCIM).
- Familiarity with enterprise integration patterns and modern integration approaches (RESTful APIs, event-driven integration, ETL/ELT).
- Ability to work collaboratively with architects, functional consultants, and business stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in fast-paced delivery environments.
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive, team-oriented approach.
- Workday Integration certification highly desirable.
