Workday Solution Architect/Designer
12 month contract + strong chance of extension (>2 years left on project)
Melbourne CBD, 3 days WFH/week
Rates between $900 - $1100/day inc super
Leading Financial Services Organisation 

We're seeking a strategic and technically skilled Solution Architect to ensure the Workday platform meets business needs and integrates seamlessly with enterprise systems. You'll provide expertise across the Workday platform, supporting a successful deployment and collaborating closely with other Solution Architects to deliver future-ready solutions.

In this role you will:
  • Define and own the end-to-end solution design for Workday ERP implementation, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture standards.
  • Ensure scalability, performance, and security of the Workday platform and integrations.
  • Collaborate with functional leads and stakeholders to convert business processes into Workday configurations and workflows.
  • Work with business and technical stakeholders to ensure designs support technology strategy, business goals, and compliance requirements.
  • Partner with Solution Architects on integration, identity, and data architecture.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to implementation partners and internal teams.
  • Review and approve technical specifications from implementation teams.
  • Support testing, deployment, and post-go-live stabilization activities.

To be successful in this role you will have the following skills and experience:
  • Deep expertise in Workday, including design, configuration, and overall architecture.
  • Proven experience designing Workday solutions for HR, Payroll, and Finance modules.
  • Strong knowledge of Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, and integration tools.
  • Expertise in identity and access management in enterprise Workday and Microsoft environments (SAML, OAuth, RBAC).
  • Experience with access provisioning/deprovisioning (e.g., SCIM).
  • Background in general architecture roles, with a focus on ERP systems (especially Workday).
  • Experience with enterprise integration patterns, modern integration styles (RESTful APIs, GraphQL), and data integration (ETL, ELT).
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
  • Familiarity with data governance, compliance, and security best practices.
  • Relevant certifications (Workday Integration, TOGAF, AWS/Azure Architect) highly desirable.
  • Cultivates innovation, accountability, nimble learning, courage, initiative, and a positive, team-oriented nature.
  • Ability to balance short-term and long-term strategic objectives and communicate tradeoffs effectively
