Web Content Officer  (Contract)
Location:  Brisbane CBD 
Contract:  3 months | Full-time (40 hrs/week)
Rate:  Market Rate

The OpportunityWe’re seeking a passionate and experienced Web Content Officer to support a major website rebuild. You’ll play a key role in shaping a public-facing digital presence—publishing high-quality content, improving usability and accessibility, and ensuring pages meet best-practice standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Publish and maintain accurate, accessible and SEO-optimised website content aligned to strategic objectives
  • Build, update and maintain webpages using Squiz CMS (Matrix) (or similar)
  • Optimise images, video and digital assets to improve performance and load speed
  • Troubleshoot and resolve CMS/content publishing issues to support a seamless user experience
  • Manage content workflows to ensure quality and on-time delivery
  • Ensure content meets relevant government/industry standards, with a strong focus on accessibility, usability and SEO
  • Contribute ideas to continuously improve digital content and the overall website experience
About You
  • Strong hands-on experience publishing web content and building pages within a CMS
  • Sound knowledge of online publishing and web standards (including accessibility and usability principles)
  • Strong written communication skills and confidence working with stakeholders
  • Experience with Squiz Matrix is highly regarded
  • Relevant qualifications in web publishing/digital communications (or equivalent experience)
