About the Role:
Our IT Consulting Client is seeking VMware Infrastructure & Virtualisation Specialists.
You have the option to choose between a long-term contract or a permanent engagement. This is available across multiple locations throughout Australia.
As the selected candidate you will be in responsible for:
- Managing Data centre uplift and consolidation
- Hybrid cloud integration and VMware Cloud Foundation
- Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) uplift with VMware Horizon
- Software-defined networking using NSX-T
- Resilience, disaster recovery (DR) and security posture enhancement
- Project and BAU support in secure government environments
To be successful in this role you should have:
- Experience as a VMware professional, or ICT professional looking to specialise in VMware technologies
- Related backgrounds welcomed: cloud engineering (Azure, AWS, GCP), infrastructure, networking and security
- Typically 5–10 years’ experience with VMware (flexible for strong foundational ICT experience)
- Development support available: free VMware training resources, hands-on labs, guided learning pathways, and certification preparation support (VCP/VCAP)
- Valued experience: VMware vSphere, vSAN, NSX-T, Horizon, Cloud Foundation; infrastructure design/deployment/optimisation; HA/DR, performance tuning and capacity management; secure or regulated environments; automation (PowerShell, PowerCLI, Python)
Due to security clearance requirements for this role, candidates must be Australian citizens with NV1 or NV2. Security clearance sponsorship is available for eligible candidates (up to NV2).
