Overview
Plan, deliver, manage and support the development, implementation and maintenance of data masking processes and procedures in the non-production environments on behalf of the Testing Services & Environments group.
The role is accountable for all aspects of test data management in non-production environment planning, build, configuration, management and support throughout the project lifecycle for major projects.
KPIs for the role focus on compliance and adherence to security and data governance standards for data management including masking and managing the year refreshes in non-production environments. Ensuring stability and availability of environments, adherence to agreed plans and schedules for test data delivery and fast, effective issue resolution.
This position requires specialised technical knowledge on leading industry data management and masking tools including planning, development and maintaining data masking scripts, technical trouble shooting and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Engage with Data Owners, Data Stewards, Security teams and application SMEs to determine sensitivity of applications data
- Profile application data and review results with application SME to design data masking process
- Build masking processes applicable to applications and based on the profiling results
- Liaise with other teams to ensure efficiency of data refresh and masking activities
- Co-ordinate data refresh changes with all supporting groups
- Mask sensitive data in application NPEs
- Provide reporting on data masking activities
- Document data masking processes
- Assist in creation of the planning, build, configuration and support of all application data management and masking in the non-production environments (development and test) for projects.
- Ensure that change and incident management is applied to the TDM software and infrastructure.
- Point of contact for investigating and resolving masked data related issues.
- Defect triage and working through to root cause analysis engaging with Tech teams where necessary.
- Daily Environment Health Checks and maintenance of scripts after patching updates.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years data management and the development of SQL and PL/SQL scripts
- Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems and command line tools
- Experience with Oracle and MS SQL databases and the creation of schemas and management of data in both environments.
- Experience with the deployment or integration of solutions based on technologies such as:
- Databases such Oracle DB, PL/SQL, MS SQL, PostGres, RedShift, BigQuery
- Linux or AIX
- Weblogic / Tomcat / J2EE / WebSphere
- Middleware – Tibco BW, Tibco EMS
- SAP Applications (CRM, ERP, EM, SCM, PI, PO)
- Microsoft Technology (O/S, IIS, .NET, AD, SCCM)
- Networking TCP-IP, DHCP, SFTP, RSH, SSH, Routing, Firewall, Proxy
- Scripting - Power Shell / Bash, Jenkins, GitHub (creation & modification)
- Cloud Platforms such as AWS CLI, Azure, Google (GCP)
- Tools: SNOW, Confluence / Jira / Wiki / SharePoint
- ETL tools: IBM Information Server, Informatica Cloud or similar cloud offerings
- Relevant tertiary qualification is desirable
