Our client is a world-class end-to-end IT services provider who works with organisations from all sectors around the globe.
About the role
While the initial project will be located in Sydney CBD or inner suburbs, subsequent work may be conducted at different sites around New South Wales. When working at regional sites, travel will be arranged, and expenses paid for by the client.
There are two different roles available. The first is a Desktop Support and offers $35.15/hour + super.
The second role is a Team Lead role which offers $39.39/hour + super.
Schedule/hours
Start date is either 5th January or 27th January. The initial project will run until end of June.
Work is ad-hoc in nature therefore, there are NO guaranteed hours after the initial engagement. Every effort will be made by this client to involve you in suitable projects and shifts.
Responsibilities
- Respond to and resolve incidents and service requests escalated from Level 1 support
- Provide support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and peripherals
- Troubleshoot operating systems, software, and hardware
- Perform basic network and server troubleshooting (e.g., connectivity, profile access, mapped drives)
- Support Office 365, Active Directory, VPN, and remote access technologies
- Maintain accurate documentation of issues and resolutions in the ticketing system
- Assist with user onboarding/offboarding and asset management tasks
- Escalate unresolved issues to Level 2/3 support as needed, with appropriate documentation
Requirements
Mandatory:
- Full, clean Driver's License and your own vehicle.
- Ability to travel to project sites
- Must pass a police check prior to commencing
Required proven experience:
- Technical Support, Customer Facing
- Trouble shooting with Hardware/Software/Desktop/Laptop/Networking/Printers/Operating Systems
- Experience with ticketing systems
- Previous experience working in an IT service desk role, in-house or customer facing
- IT Qualifications/ Certifications (desirable)
- Excellent communication skills
