This role is ideal for a hands‑on recruitment leader who enjoys combining people leadership with active candidate engagement, and who can drive outcomes in a fast‑paced, purpose‑driven environment. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate a small recruitment/candidate engagement team
- Set priorities, manage workloads and support team performance
- Develop and refine outreach strategies, engagement scripts and sourcing approaches
- Maintain oversight of candidate pipelines, conversion metrics and reporting
- Conduct outbound candidate engagement (phone, digital and face‑to‑face)
- Build relationships with training organisations and other stakeholders
- Support governance activities including reporting, reviews and knowledge transfer
- Proven experience leading or coordinating a recruitment, talent acquisition or candidate engagement team
- Strong hands‑on recruitment or sourcing experience, ideally in high‑volume or campaign‑based environments
- Confidence engaging with diverse candidate cohorts and senior stakeholders
- Strong communication, organisation and reporting skills
- Ability to operate autonomously while contributing to broader program outcomes
- Experience in government, education, workforce programs or VET environments is advantageous but not essential.
- Duration: contract engagement until 25/11/2026
- Hours: 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week
- Location: Primary base Brisbane CBD
- Flexibility: Applications will be accepted from candidates located anywhere in Queensland
- Regional preference: Candidates based in regional locations are strongly encouraged
- Travel: Regional travel required, including occasional overnight stays
