We’re partnering with a large government organisation to recruit a Talent Attraction & Acquisition Specialist to support a high‑profile, statewide recruitment initiative — with a strong preference for candidates based in regional Queensland.

This role is well suited to someone who enjoys building relationships within regional communities, engaging with diverse candidate groups, and contributing to a meaningful public‑sector program. In this contract role, you’ll focus on identifying, engaging and guiding prospective candidates from targeted cohorts into vocational education and training‑related career pathways across Queensland. You’ll be a key point of contact for candidates in regional and remote areas, using proactive outreach, clear communication and follow‑up to build and maintain a strong talent pipeline.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct outbound and inbound candidate engagement via phone, digital and face‑to‑face channels
  • Engage with candidates across regional Queensland and support them through early recruitment stages
  • Build trusted relationships with diverse candidate cohorts
  • Provide clear information on pathways, requirements and next steps
  • Maintain accurate candidate and pipeline records
  • Contribute to reporting on engagement activity and outcomes
  • Work collaboratively within a small team to achieve program targets
About You
  • Experience in recruitment, talent acquisition, candidate engagement, sales or a related field
  • Strong communication and relationship‑building skills
  • Comfort working autonomously from a regional location
  • Strong organisation and attention to detail
  • A genuine interest in supporting regional workforce participation and career pathways
  • Experience in government, education, workforce programs or vocational training environments is advantageous but not essential.
Contract & Location Details

  • Hours: 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week
  • Location flexibility: Open to candidates anywhere in Queensland, strong preference for candidates based in regional Queensland
