About the Role: Our Federal Government client is seeking a Systems Analyst to support their Digital Services team within the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits sector. This is a 6-month contract role with two (2) x 6-month extension options, located at the client’s Melbourne Branch Office (747 Collins Street, Melbourne). All work will be performed onsite in Melbourne.
As the selected candidate, you will:
- Address issues impacting IT service delivery and business outcomes through continuous improvement initiatives and business planning activities
- Contribute to service delivery and project activities in line with Agency IT service delivery methodologies
- Provide service management advice from both technical and business perspectives to internal teams and stakeholders
- Develop and maintain strong internal and external stakeholder relationships to support information sharing and influence outcomes
- Actively engage in consultation, knowledge sharing, and knowledge transfer activities
- Resolve complex service management issues by analysing options and recommending effective solutions
- Prepare and analyse detailed reports on service trends, risks, anomalies, and variations for a range of stakeholders
To be successful in this role you should have:
- Proven experience working autonomously while delivering high-quality IT service and support outcomes
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate with external service providers and cross-functional teams
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills with the ability to manage risks and issues
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to produce clear and concise documentation
It is desirable if you have:
- Experience working in a government or regulated environment
- Knowledge of IT service management frameworks and methodologies
- Relevant IT or service management certifications (e.g. ITIL), though these are not essential
Due to security requirements for this role, candidates must be Australian citizens with Unclassified – PEIC Only eligibility (no formal security clearance required).
