The ServiceNow ITOM Event/Monitoring SME
is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing IT Operations Management solutions on the ServiceNow platform, with a strong focus on event management and monitoring. This role partners closely with IT and business stakeholders to improve system reliability, automate operations, and deliver scalable ITOM solutions aligned to business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, implement, and support ServiceNow ITOM capabilities including Event Management, Discovery, and Service Mapping.
• Configure event monitoring, alert thresholds, correlation rules, and automated workflows to proactively detect and resolve issues.
• Integrate ServiceNow ITOM with third-party monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, Splunk, and Nagios.
• Collaborate with IT teams and stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver tailored, best-practice ITOM solutions.
• Maintain platform health through performance optimization, troubleshooting, documentation, governance, and user enablement.
Required Skills:
• Proven experience in ServiceNow ITOM Event/Monitoring SME related role
• Skilled in Design, Implementation, Configuration and Customization of ServiceNow ITOM Solutions and Even Management Modules
• Proficient in scripting languages (JavaScript, PowerShell, Python) for automation and customization
• ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) in ITOM is preferred
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus
Due to the security clearance requirements for this role, candidates must be an Australian Citizen, with Active NV1 Clearance
or higher.
