Enterprise Environment | 500+ Servers
We’re looking for a hands-on Windows Server Engineer to join a large-scale enterprise environment, supporting and evolving critical Windows Services across on-prem and cloud platforms.
This is a great opportunity to step into a high-impact infrastructure role, working across automation, cloud optimisation, and large-scale transformation programs—while keeping core services stable, secure, and high-performing.
As the selected candidate, you will:
- Maintain and monitor infrastructure to ensure the stable and reliable operation of Windows-based systems.
- Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements, provide updates, and support service delivery targets.
- Manage incidents and problems effectively, implementing improvements to reduce incidents and enhance service availability.
- Collaborate with vendors and external service providers to support environment operations and project delivery.
- Contribute to ongoing process automation and optimisation initiatives, leveraging tools such as PowerShell, Ansible, and cloud services.
- Support integration and transformation programs while maintaining existing operational environments.
- Promote a culture of safety, inclusivity, and continuous improvement within the team.
- Design, deliver, and operate Windows Services for the organisation, supporting both on-premises and public cloud environments.
- Extensive experience managing large-scale, enterprise-grade Windows services environments with 500+ servers.
- Proven ability to improve service stability, reduce incidents, and enhance reliability through automation and process improvement.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.
- Industry-recognised certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate or MCSE.
- Knowledge of current market trends, Microsoft technologies, and best practices in Windows Server support.
- Experience with cloud and virtualisation technologies, particularly in hybrid environments.
- Proficiency with automation tools such as PowerShell and Ansible.
- Experience working with Azure Active Directory, Azure Arc, and other cloud-based solutions.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities aligned with enterprise behavioural competencies related to trust, inclusivity, empowerment, curiosity, and safety.
