About the role
A large government organisation is seeking an experienced Senior Test Analyst to join their IT delivery team where you will coordinate and execute end-to-end testing activities across manual and automated testing, working closely with SMEs, analysts, and developers to ensure quality outcomes.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and manage a comprehensive manual test suite (test plan, execution, test cases)
- Coordinate and execute test plans end-to-end
- Perform system and integration testing
- Maintain and expand the automated test suite (TestComplete)
- Log, track and manage defects through to resolution
- Report on test progress, defects, and outcomes
- Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders across the delivery team
- 5+ years ’ experience as a Test Analyst (or closely related role)
- Strong capability in test planning/strategy and detailed test specification writing
- Test management + automation scripting using Jira XRAY and TestComplete
- API testing experience with ReadyAPI / Postman / SoapUI
- Version control: Git or SVN
- Ability to develop and maintain both automated and manual test suites
- PostgreSQL querying and experience working in a Linux environment
- Excellent communication skills and stakeholder engagement
- Experience in government/public sector environments
- Relevant tertiary qualification (IT or similar) or equivalent experience
- Prior experience testing a valuation / sales / revenue-related system (or similar complex transactional platforms)
