About the Role:
Our Federal Government Client is seeking Senior Software Engineers (Developers). This is a long-term contract role 12 months with 2 x 12-month extension options, located at our client’s Canberra office with hybrid working arrangements.
As the selected candidate, you will:
- Design, develop and maintain critical systems for NSS and NCCC
- Deliver system enhancements, new features and technical upgrades
- Perform software design, coding, testing and code reviews
- Support integration with national systems including NCIS
- Work closely with project and business teams to meet requirements
- Contribute to system improvements, processes and service uplift
- Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience
- Experience working in Agile or Waterfall ICT project environments
- Strong Microsoft Office skills for documentation and reporting
- Excellent organisation skills with ability to manage competing priorities
- Experience with Java, JEE, Kubernetes, Oracle, Unix/Windows
- Front-end experience with HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, React
- Experience integrating or supporting third-party/COTS systems
- Experience working with complex data and statistical analysis
- Experience in backend integrations and data ingestion pipelines
