Defence background
As the Senior Project Scheduler, you will:
- Lead the development, maintenance, and assurance of an integrated program schedule
- Apply advanced scheduling techniques (e.g., logic validation, constraint management, baseline control)
- Manage dependencies and provide critical path / near-critical path oversight
- Conduct deep schedule analysis (schedule drivers, float erosion, emerging risks)
- Perform schedule health checks and ensure adherence to scheduling standards/methodologies
- Undertake schedule risk analysis (SRA) where appropriate and support risk-informed scheduling
- Produce executive-ready reporting (dashboards, status reports, briefings) and schedule performance metrics (e.g., SPI, float trends, milestone adherence)
- Support governance forums, planning cycles, and assurance of stakeholder schedule products
- Mentor others and help uplift scheduling maturity and capability across the team
- Engage effectively with senior stakeholders across multi-disciplinary teams
- Demonstrated experience leading and assuring schedules in a complex program / major delivery environment
- Strong hands-on capability across advanced scheduling controls and analysis
- Proven ability to translate complex schedule data into clear, actionable insights for executive audiences
- High-level stakeholder engagement skills across diverse teams and senior forums
- Experience producing high-quality reporting and schedule performance insights
- A collaborative approach with the ability to coach/mentor others
- Desirable: Experience with Open Plan Professional (or similar scheduling tools)
