Location: Melbourne
Duration: 9 month contract + strong chance of extension
We’re looking for a Senior Network Engineer / Network Designer to design and support highly reliable, enterprise-scale data centre and backbone networks. You will work for a major bank within Australia, and have opportunitis to extend into other exciting projects after this one.
What you’ll do
- Design and deliver resilient, high-availability network solutions
- Support and improve reliability across data centre environments
- Lead incident response and root cause analysis for network issues
- Design, implement and troubleshoot firewall and security controls
- Deliver changes and migrations in complex, brownfield environments
- 7+ years’ experience in network design or senior network engineering
- Strong hands-on data centre networking experience
- Expert knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, VXLAN, IGPs and Layer 2
- Proven experience with enterprise firewalls in complex environments
- Experience with data centre and backbone technologies (MPLS, internet routing)
- Strong focus on reliability, resilience and uptime
- Experience with Cisco and Juniper environment
