We are seeking a skilled Senior Linux Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement, and own the core Linux platforms that support critical digital services. Key Responsibilities
• Design, build, and manage large-scale Linux platforms (650+ hosts) in secure on-premise environments.
• Lead the development and maintenance of Linux Standard Operating Environments (SOEs) using Ubuntu 22/24 and some RHEL.
• Define and enforce platform standards for security, resilience, performance, capacity, and patching.
• Act as a technical authority for Linux design decisions and complex infrastructure changes.
• Take ownership of solution design and engineering outcomes, not just operational runbook execution.

Required Skills

• 5-8+ years of experience as a Linux Infrastructure Engineer, with a strong background in building and supporting large-scale Linux systems in secure environments.
• Strong Linux engineering expertise, particularly in Ubuntu 22/24 and RHEL, including SOE development and management.
• Ability to define and maintain standards for security, performance, reliability, and patching.
• Experience as a technical lead/SME for Linux infrastructure, platform changes, and operational improvements.
• Ability to independently design infrastructure solutions, solve complex problems, and drive continuous improvement.
• Experience in secure, regulated, or mission-critical environments with a focus on stability, compliance, and operational excellence.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills across infrastructure, security, and application teams.
• Strong experience with automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, including Ansible (Must Have), Terraform, Bash, Python, and GitLab CI/CD.
• Government or Federal project experience is a plus
