Initial 12 Months Contract with extension

Hybrid work flexibility 2-3 days on-site / 2 days WFH
Baseline Security Clearance or higher is mandatory
We are seeking a skilled Senior Java Software Enginee
r to join a cross-functional delivery team focused on building high-quality APIs and data pipeline solutions. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering reliable, scalable systems while proactively managing technical risks, system performance, and platform availability.
Key Responsibilities
The Software Engineer will work collaboratively with a cross-functional team and be responsible for the following:
• Delivering high quality pipeline and API code aligned to approved designs and industry best practice implementations
• Technical release co-ordination, within the team for weekly releases and to all clients for cutover releases
• Proactive management of potential API outages to internal and external clients
• Performing other tasks as required by the team to meet business objectives.
Required Skills
• 5–8+ years of strong experience as a Senior Java Developer/Software Engineer with expertise in SQL and NoSQL
• Experience working with Data Platforms and Big Data technologies, including Apache Spark, Kafka, and Elasticsearch
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes orchestration and containerised environments
• Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines, including hands-on use of Jenkins.
• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• Government or Federal experience is plus
