About the Role:
Our Federal Government Client is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer (OpenStack). This is a long-term contract role 12 months with extension options up to 24 months, located at our client’s ACT, VIC or QLD offices with hybrid working arrangements.
As the selected candidate, you will:
- Lead design and expansion of OpenStack and Ceph cloud platforms
- Manage end-to-end infrastructure architecture and procurement
- Design and implement cloud networking and SDN configurations
- Provide SME advice on performance, scalability and DR strategies
- Support and maintain high-performing private cloud environments
- Ensure stability and optimisation of critical VM workloads
- Strong experience with OpenStack in large-scale environments
- Proven ability designing and troubleshooting cloud networking (VLANs, SDN)
- Strong Linux administration skills (preferably RHEL)
- Experience with automation, system configuration and package management
- Proven experience as an SME resolving complex infrastructure issues
- Ability to provide technical guidance on performance and platform stability
- Experience managing and optimising Ceph storage clusters
- Experience in hardware lifecycle management and data centre design
- Experience with automation, scripting and CI/CD pipelines
