ICT Assets Officer 6-Month Initial Contract | Strong Possibility of Extension | Onsite | New South Wales
We're seeking an experienced ICT Assets Officer to join a collaborative ICT team responsible for managing the full lifecycle of technology assets across the organisation.
This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented ICT professional with experience in asset management, inventory control, procurement, and compliance. You'll play a key role in ensuring ICT assets are accurately tracked, maintained, and managed throughout their lifecycle while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain ICT asset management policies, procedures, and lifecycle processes.
  • Manage a centralised inventory of ICT hardware, software, licences, warranties, and related documentation.
  • Conduct regular asset audits, stocktakes, and reconciliations to ensure data accuracy.
  • Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of ICT assets, from procurement and deployment through to decommissioning and disposal.
  • Coordinate procurement activities, including obtaining quotations, liaising with suppliers, and tracking deliveries.
  • Ensure secure disposal and recycling of ICT assets while maintaining compliance with organisational policies and data security requirements.
  • Prepare reports on asset utilisation, compliance, lifecycle status, and inventory performance.
  • Work closely with ICT teams and business stakeholders to improve asset management processes.
  • Travel to various sites across New South Wales as required to support ICT asset audits, deployments, inspections, and other operational activities.
About YouYou'll bring:
  • Demonstrated experience in ICT asset management, inventory control, desktop asset administration, or a similar role.
  • Experience managing ICT asset lifecycles, procurement processes, and compliance activities.
  • Strong organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Experience using ICT asset management or inventory management systems.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • A tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • A current C Class Driver's Licence and the ability to travel between sites when required.
  • Knowledge of ITIL, ISO 55000, or other ICT asset management frameworks (desirable).
  • ITIL Certification will be highly regarded.
Desirable
  • Previous experience within a government or public sector environment.
  • Certification from the Institute of Asset Management (IAM).
