About the Role:
Our Federal Government Client is seeking DevOps Engineers. This is a long-term contract role 12 months initial contract with 12 months extension term (2 extensions), located at our client’s ACT location with hybrid working arrangements.
As the selected candidate, you will:
- Design, implement and maintain secure Azure cloud environments
- Support application migration from on-premise to cloud platforms
- Develop automated deployment and infrastructure solutions
- Work within DevOps and Agile delivery practices
- Build and enhance cloud-native features and automation capabilities
- Support Linux environments and Java-based applications
- Perform system performance tuning and optimisation
- Automate processes and enable self-service capabilities
- Monitor cloud services and improve utilisation and performance
- Implement and uplift Azure security controls and policies
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align security and business objectives
- Manage vulnerability scanning and respond to security incidents
- Work with architects, developers and administrators on secure solutions
- Maintain documentation and support knowledge transfer to internal teams
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in DevOps within complex data and analytics platforms
- Proven experience in system design, development, governance and documentation
- Strong hands-on experience with Linux administration and shell scripting
- Experience working with Azure DevOps and cloud platforms
- Demonstrated leadership and mentoring capabilities
- Experience developing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, ARM templates or Azure Bicep
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments
