About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Developer with strong capabilities across .NET platform and frontend technologies to support a major cloud transformation initiative within a high-impact government environment.
This role is open to Australian Citizens only.
You will play a key role in delivering the East Burwood Data Centre Exit project, which involves migrating legacy .NET applications from on-premises infrastructure to the Microsoft Azure cloud platform.
Project Overview
- Migration of approximately 20 legacy .NET applications
- Estimated delivery effort of ~80 FTE months
- Includes mission-critical systems supporting Victorian public schools
- Delivery through a phased migration approach (2–4 applications at a time)
- Focus on re-hosting with minimal enhancements
- Future enhancements
- Managed services transition
- Long-term re-platforming strategy
- Design, develop, and support migration of .NET applications to Azure
- Work across both backend (.NET Core) and frontend technologies
- Contribute to application analysis, remediation, and uplift activities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to assess application usage and functionality
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues within complex environments
- Ensure stability and continuity during migration
- Strong experience with Microsoft .NET Core
- Frontend development experience in .NET-based applications
- Experience with Azure DevOps (CI/CD pipelines)
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server
- Experience with API and enterprise integrations
- Exposure to Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work within complex legacy systems
