Our Federal Government Client is seeking an Automation DevSecOps Engineer. The initial contract is until 30 June 2026 with 6-month extensions with up to 4 extensions, located at our client’s ACT office with hybrid working arrangements (office-based presence required, with some flexibility to work from home).
As the selected candidate, you will:
• Review, enhance and optimise existing CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions across a large, complex codebase
• Improve and streamline release processes for production deployments across multiple environments
• Develop and refine automation scripts to support build, release and deployment activities
• Identify bottlenecks in current DevSecOps practices and propose continuous improvement initiatives
• Embed security and compliance throughout CI/CD pipelines, including automated security testing
• Provide expert technical advice and actionable recommendations to stakeholders
To be successful in this role you should have:
• Strong experience in DevSecOps with a focus on automation and CI/CD pipeline optimisation
• Advanced knowledge of GitHub Actions and multi-pipeline orchestration
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services and environment management
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell and/or Bash
• Experience analysing existing processes and implementing scalable improvements
• Excellent communication and stakeholder advisory skills
• Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM and related technologies
It is desirable if you have:
• Experience implementing Octopus Deploy for release management
• Knowledge of cloud and development security best practices
• Relevant Azure and/or DevOps certifications
Due to security clearance requirements for this role, candidates must be Australian citizens holding active Baseline security clearance.
