The client is seeking a skilled SAP Senior Developer (Software Engineer) for a full-time, contract position initially up to 12 months, with extension options up to an additional 24 months. The role is primarily based in Queensland, Australian Capital Territory, Victoria, or South Australia, with a hybrid work arrangement considered. Adelaide is preferred, and the successful candidate will be required to work from the nominated location for the first six weeks. Post this period, a hybrid work model involving a minimum of three days per week onsite will be implemented to balance flexibility and collaboration.

As the selected candidate, you will:

  • Develop, configure, and maintain SAP modules to support business processes.
  • Analyse business requirements and translate them into detailed technical specifications.
  • Design, code, test, and implement SAP enhancements, reports, and interfaces.
  • Support system integration between SAP and other enterprise systems.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve SAP-related issues to ensure smooth business operations.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.
  • Participate in system upgrades, patches, and performance tuning activities.
  • Prepare and maintain thorough technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams using agile methodologies to deliver high-quality solutions.
To be successful in this role you should have:

  • Proven experience developing and maintaining SAP modules, including SAP CRM, SAP S/4 HANA, SAP ABAP, SAP BRF+, SAP UI5, and SAP FIORI.
  • Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle, including designing, coding, testing, and deploying complex SAP applications.
  • Experience in configuring, verifying, and documenting complex software configurations.
  • Ability to analyse and translate complex business requirements into effective technical solutions.
  • Familiarity with system design, integration, and testing processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
  • Knowledge of government standards and security requirements, including the ability to obtain NV1 security clearance.
It is desirable if you have:

  • Previous experience supporting SAP applications within government agencies.
  • Experience working with agile project methodologies.
  • Knowledge of SAP ECC modules or exposure to data services.
  • Prior experience with release management and deployment processes.
Due to security clearance requirements for this role, candidates must be Australian citizens who can obtain and maintain NV1 security Clearance
