Duration: 6 month rolling contracts

Overview:
Oversee SAP landscapes hosted in Azure, application health and performance, and play a key governance role in the delivery of new platforms as part of a major retail transformation. This role has strong influence across engineering, delivery, operations, infrastructure and cyber security teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead SAP Basis and platform engineering services across SAP IS‑U, CRM and middleware platforms hosted in Microsoft Azure
- Own technical delivery planning, execution and optimisation across BAU and project workstreams
- Manage and coordinate onshore and offshore SI partners and internal teams (6–10 indirect reports)
- Act as the primary technical interface to Delivery Managers for:
- Environment planning and patching
- Middleware integrations
- Network and firewall management
- Maintenance of non‑production SAP landscapes
- Drive platform optimisation, automation, cost efficiencies and performance improvements
- Provide technical governance, design authority and decision‑making across SAP platforms
Must have skills/experience:
- 10+ years’ experience as an SAP Delivery Consultant, Technical Lead or Architect, including at least three full SAP implementation lifecycles.
- Strong delivery/project management experience leading SAP technical programs (upgrades, infrastructure, integrations, data centre exits).
- Deep understanding of cloud platforms and cost models, preferably Microsoft Azure (AWS exposure desirable).
- Proven experience managing SAP application service delivery and operations in outsourced environments.
- Strong consultative capability with the ability to articulate customer value for SAP solutions and transformations.
- Deep technical knowledge of SAP platforms including NetWeaver (7.4/7.5), HANA, S/4HANA, SAP Cloud (HEC) and on‑premise landscapes.
- Expertise designing SAP landscape strategies supporting CI/CD automation (e.g. Solution Manager, ChaRM, Rev-Trac).
- Strong experience with Salesforce DevOps and administration.
- Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder‑influencing skills.
- Ability to lead technical teams or operate independently in virtual and matrixed environments.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of competing technologies and alternative solution approaches.
- Experience with SAP system integration, performance analysis and capacity planning.
- Experience with virtualization, clustering and high‑availability solutions (e.g. VMware, PowerVM).
- Hands‑on SAP ERP 6.0 implementations across Windows, Linux and other OS platforms.
- Experience automating Salesforce DevOps pipelines.
- Database experience (Oracle, DB2, etc.).
