A leading Australian financial institution is seeking an experienced Risk & Compliance Manager to support a major risk uplift program. Working within the first line of defence, you will partner with business and project teams to strengthen risk management practices, improve controls, and support the delivery of key change initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first line risk and compliance support across business portfolios.
- Conduct risk assessments and risk profiling activities.
- Design, document, implement, and test controls.
- Support issue management, remediation, and risk uplift initiatives.
- Provide risk advice on change and transformation programs.
- Partner with stakeholders to embed effective risk management practices.
- Contribute to governance, compliance, and control improvement activities.
- Proven experience in Operational Risk, Risk Management, or Compliance within financial services.
- Strong hands-on experience in control design, documentation, and testing.
- Experience supporting risk within change, transformation, or project environments.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and quickly embed into complex environments.
- Banking experience is essential, with consumer or retail banking experience highly regarded.
