Lead a Major Whole‑of‑Government Finance Transformation We are seeking an experienced Project Manager – SAP S/4HANA to lead our transition to the Queensland Government’s new cloud‑based finance platform, SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud. About the Role As the Project Manager – SAP S/4HANA, you will lead through its transition from SAP ECC6 to the new whole‑of‑government S/4HANA platform under the Finance Modernisation Program.
You will:
- Lead end‑to‑end project delivery using PRINCE2/Agile frameworks
- Work closely with business units, executives, and external agencies
- Build strong stakeholder relationships across government
- Manage risks, issues, and project governance
- Develop project plans, reporting artefacts, briefing notes, and presentations
- Ensure alignment with program objectives and support benefit realisation
- Influence strategic decisions and guide organisational change
About You To be successful, you will bring:
Essential
- 10+ years’ project management experience
- Proven leadership of financial system or ERP implementation projects
- Strong experience delivering projects within government environments
- Comfortable producing high‑quality reporting artefacts and presentations
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills
- Experience leading organisational transformation and reform
- Ability to navigate complex risks and provide solution‑focused guidance
- Degree in Finance, Information Systems, Business Analysis or similar
- PRINCE2, PMP, MSP or equivalent project/program management certification
