We are seeking an experienced Principal Data Analyst to deliver high‑level financial and operational analysis, performance reporting and strategic insight to support executives, managers and external stakeholders.
Key responsibilities
- Develop financial and operational models, costings and forecasting for programs and initiatives
- Deliver strategic advice, performance reporting and data‑driven insights for decision‑making
- Lead development of organisational and external statistical reports
- Design, build and maintain KPI reporting and business intelligence solutions
- Analyse data from multiple systems, identifying trends, risks and opportunities
- Provide expert advice on business system configuration and reporting capability
- Maintain data quality, integrity and governance
- Mentor team members and provide high‑level technical guidance
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies
- Strong experience in business and data analysis, including financial and performance reporting
- Sound knowledge of cash and accrual accounting, budgeting and costing methodologies
- Advanced skills in SQL and Microsoft tools, particularly Excel and Fabric/Power BI
- Experience with data warehousing and BI environments
- Clear, confident communicator able to provide persuasive, senior‑level advice
