About the role:
We’re looking for a Senior Platform Infrastructure Engineer to help design, implement, manage and continuously improve enterprise infrastructure platforms across physical, virtual, networking and cloud environments. You’ll work closely with engineers and business stakeholders to deliver secure, reliable and well-documented infrastructure capabilities, while supporting operational excellence.
Candidates would need to have (including but not limited to):
- Strong background in enterprise infrastructure engineering (design through to operations).
- Virtualisation engineering (enterprise service & virtualisation).
- Cloud and hybrid infrastructure engineering.
- Infrastructure automation / Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Storage, backup and disaster recovery engineering.
- Platform security and infrastructure hardening
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with engineering teams and business stakeholders to optimise platform implementation, usage and ongoing management.
- Diagnose and resolve operational and technical issues across infrastructure platforms.
- Contribute to platform configuration planning and day-to-day platform management.
- Proactively identify and communicate design/build/testing/quality risks, assumptions and dependencies.
- Produce and maintain system design, implementation documentation, procedures and policies.
- Perform technical assessment, design, configuration and deployment of new platform capabilities (including within data platform environments).
- Ensure platforms are operated in line with security and compliance requirements.
- Provide knowledge transfer, mentoring and uplift to other team members.
