About the Role:
Our Federal Government client is seeking multiple Senior Storage Infrastructure Engineers / Senior Storage Engineers (Broadcom SAN/Fibre Channel | HPE | NetApp | Dell | Brocade | Veeam). This is a 12-month contract with 2 x 12-month extension options, located onsite in Canberra (ACT).
As the selected candidate, you will:
- Design, deploy, configure, administer, tune and troubleshoot enterprise storage infrastructure.
- Deploy, configure and manage Storage Area Network (SAN) switches and storage platforms.
- Support physical and virtual storage environments across large-scale ICT infrastructure.
- Contribute to the future direction of the department's storage and data platforms through emerging technologies.
- Produce high-quality design, build, operational and handover documentation.
- Share technical knowledge with team members and mentor junior engineers.
- Provide after-hours on-call support for infrastructure platforms as required.
- Demonstrated experience designing, administering, tuning and troubleshooting one or more
of the following:
- HPE 3PAR, Primera or Alletra Storage Systems
- NetApp E-Series
- Dell Data Domain
- Brocade Fabric Switches
- SANnav
- Scality Artesca
- Experience producing design, build and operational documentation, including processes and procedures.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate with technical stakeholders, deliver presentations and coach team members.
- Experience with Veeam Backup & Replication.
- Experience working within large, complex ICT environments.
- Experience supporting enterprise data centre and virtualisation environments.
- Knowledge of emerging storage technologies and modern data platform solutions.
- Previous experience working within a Federal Government ICT environment.
