We are seeking a Microsoft Purview Technical Specialist with strong hands‑on experience designing and implementing Microsoft Purview within Victorian or Australian Government Microsoft 365 tenants. This is a growth role supporting information protection, data governance and compliance uplift initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure and deploy Microsoft Purview Information Protection, including sensitivity labels across M365 workloads
- Implement Data Loss Prevention (DLP) for M365 and Windows endpoints
- Deliver data classification, auto‑labelling, retention and records management aligned to PROV and government obligations
- Design custom Sensitive Information Types (SITs)
- Map Purview controls to ACSC Essential Eight and internal security frameworks
- Automate configurations using PowerShell
- Proven hands‑on implementation of Microsoft Purview in government tenants
- Strong knowledge of M365 workloads and Microsoft Entra ID
- Experience aligning technical controls to security and records frameworks
- Background in education or government environments
- Strong documentation and stakeholder engagement skills
